Smart Holiday Travel
January 2nd 2008
We have just got back from our holiday trip and I have to say not only do you save money by flying on Christmas eve, but you also save time at the security check points and the planes are less crowded (the 2 early morning flights were full but our flight out at noon was 1/2 full). The FULL parking lot and garage at the airport portrayed a super crowded airport and long lines, but when we got in there was NO ONE in line at the ticket counters, security check points, or the coffee shops! We actually got there a couple hours early in fear of ticket counter and security lines. Needless to say we were relieved!
Flying back home on New Years Day, first thing in the morning was also cheaper and again not much for lines, just in the ticketing area and a few in security but all else was calm and crowd controlled. The flight was full with the exception of maybe 5 seats, but all was well with no major problems or delays
I would defiantly fly on both days again! Happy New Year Everybody!!
