A Few Tips For The Traveler

Here are a few tips for the traveler.

In my many travels I have heard a lot of different natural methods to halt motion sicknesses of all kinds, so here are some that actually work (yes, I have tried them) that I will pass on to you…

If you are going on a long CAR ride and you tend to get car sick

  1. Make sure you sit in the front of the car or closest to the front of the vehicle as possible.
  2. Look out the front window only.
  3. Leave on a FULL stomach (rich in carbohydrates) .
  4. Roll the window down-fresh air always helps .
  5. Drink/sip gingerale or have powdered ginger handy (1 spoonful with liquid) .
  6. Suck on peppermint candies .
  7. Get out of the car and walk around whenever possible!

If you are FLYING

  1. Try to sit in the front of the plane (I find this is a smoother ride).
  2. Window seat so you can look out to the horizon.
  3. Leave on a FULL stomach (rich in carbohydrates).
  4. Drink/Sip gingerale or the powder.
  5. Suck on peppermint candies.
  6. For anxiety you can take Valerian root found at your local drug store.

If your going on a CRUISE or BOAT

  1. If your feeling seasick have a green apple.
  2. Get a room midship (a lot less movement).
  3. Ginger ale or ginger powder.
  4. Book an outside cabin.
  5. Get fresh air whenever possible.
  6. Eat often especially first thing in the morning.
  7. Drink plenty of water.
  8. During the day find a place to hang out with the least bit of motion usually mid ship or the back of the ship.
  9. Look out to the horizon.
  10. Avoid small areas or closed rooms (theaters, movies).
  11. Drink Coke or Pepsi, it contains Emetrol, which is drug that control vomiting.
