Valentines Day Is 2 Days Away! Last Minute Ideas

With valentines day only 2 days aways you better have made your dinner reservations by now and have your romantic night out, or in, planned out. If that is not the case here are so last minute helpers to get that desired last minute, with out the last minute feel, plan into action.

  • If you want dinner at a nice restaurant but have not made your reservations yet: call around and see if there is any available seating at your particular place of interest, if not ask if they know of another one of  their locations (permitting they have one) or can recommend one similar to theirs.
  • Another romantic option would be to do take out (this can be done at most restaurants these days including the Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesdays, Outback Steakhouse, and Macaroni Grill, just to name a few) so call and see if they do “curb side” service. Then turn the lights down low and make it a romantic candlelight dinner, which women including men like.
  • Rose petal your way to the bed, bathtub, or jacuzzi. I am sorry but this usually works every time as it is an OLD CLASSIC!  Now a days you can buy just rose petals at the local grocery store in the floral section, but don’t lay them down until the last possible minute as they brown super quickly! Another option is to buy Faux petals at Michaels, AC Moore craft stores OR walmart, all found in their bridal sections.
  • Married and you want a romantic evening in the bedroom? A great way to go is candles EVERYWHERE, because there in nothing like candlelight! This is the best idea if you are “lights on or OFF” type.  I personally suggest the flameless candles which are (thankfully) very popular these days and can be found at Michaels, AC Moore, and Bed Bath & Beyond and range from tea light size to full size pillars, so get a variety for different lighting.
  • Last minute flowers can be sent to a work place, with ALWAYS goes over well.  TellaFlora.com, and www.flowersallover.com, do same day delivery with a variety of bouquets to choose from. Greeted at the door when he/she gets home with a nice bottle of wine.
  • A heart shaped fame, which are available in all stores year round, with a picture of the two of you will work in a pinch. It is the thought that counts ;-) Accompanied and complemented by message oil and body chocolate in heart shaped bottles (you can find these at Walgreens right now in their Valentines day section!!!)

So jump into these ideas as you only have 2 more days before the big romantic day! Do not make the mistake of waiting until the drive home from work on Thursday, being Valentines Day, to pick something up! He or she will know that you thought about them BEFORE the last possible minute! Happy Valentine’s Day To Everyone!!! May the shopping force be with you, and good luck :-)
